How the star ratings work on forecasts.

Hi there.

Can anyone please explain to a newbie how to interpret the star ratings on the surf forecasts. For example: what's the difference between the dark star and the light star? What's the ultimate star rating you could get? What does one dark and one light together mean?

Couldn't find anywhere on this otherwise fantastic site to explain this.

Cheers

Willard

Dark star good, light star bad. Lots of stars good, not lots of stars bad. Lots of dark stars very good, lots of light stars....depends.
