Hello All,

Anyone here living in Oxford or the surrounding area?

I thinking of getting an Oxford surf club together - really just an email list for people to arrange ride sharing.

I live in leamington and got into surfing last year and am getting there slowly. I am looking to go surfing more often so lift sharing would be good. I generally go to Scarborough, North Wales or South Wales. Wherever is looking good. I have a car with double soft rack which is ok and fits my 7 9 Minimal on. I have just become a Dad so can't promise regular trips but would like to make some trips out at weekends.

I'm in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

Typically head to Croyde, with occassional jaunts to Bournemouth/south coast.

I'm a sponger, but I've recently bought a mini-mal looking to get into standup.

Probably heading to North Devon this long weekend for a few days. Happy to pick someone up, or meet down at one of the campsites/pubs for a beer.

Hey all, I'm starting up a degree at the uni fresh off the plane from California. I bought some new gloves and a wool baselayer and am ready to attack some English waves this Fall. It would be cool to carpool or at least travel with anyone interested a few weekends here and there if the waves are looking alright. Let me know if any trips are in the works!

We mostly head down to north Devon, or sometime south wales. It's a pretty long drive, but just about do-able for a day trip if the surf if looking good

Hi I live in kenilworth, Warwickshire area. New to surfing this year. Could do with car saving as fuel is stupidilly expensive. I have car with roof rack to fit several boards. I normally go to South Wales, Porthcawl or the Gower but willing to go wherever.

Hi Liam just back from a day trip to llangerith - fantastic with blue sky, warm and a forecasted two foot wave that turned a lot bigger as the tide went out. I take my son (7) who is doing really well - I just help out in the waves without a board - any father/sons in your crew? We were talking on the way back about an overnighter just to split the drives.

wow - your son must be keen - that's a pretty long round trip for a seven year old! No father/sons on our email list I'm afraid, but if you want to get on the list PM you email address...

Thanks. Yes he loves it - for three years now - earlier this year two or three hours every day for three weeks. This was first trip in nearly three months. First from Oxford too. It's a great beach but as you say great trek so we thought maybe overnight - there or Croyde.
