Firewire Sweet Potato 5'2 FST with FCS *SOLD*

Postby prjwebb » Sun Jun 23, 2013 5:17 am

I've got a 5'2 FST Sweet Potato. FCS plugs, no dings. The deck is sprayed Ford Electric Orange though. It looks very cool imo and has a nice metallic glitter in the sun.
Board has never been damaged or repaired, fully water tight and well looked after.

Yeah I saw the TimberTek/Technograin Baked Potato yesterday and immediately had wood!
They look and feel insane. I wasn't that bothered about switching when RF was the only option but the paulownia is stunning and much lighter than FST.

I'll also throw in a set of unused composite SF4 quad fins.

I'd prefer local pickup but am willing to meet somewhere if you're up in Devon etc. Also, will post if you arrange a courier. I will pack the board extremely well.

Not really. There's quite a bit of interest and I think it's a very fair price already. I've seen battered and water damaged ones on eBay go for more!
Feel free to PM me though.

Dear prjwebb, i am interested and the spray job looks good, but it makes it difficult to see any water damage, has there been any damage at all? Sorry to ask this question but I have had a number of firewire boards with water damage and I do not want to make the same mistake again.

I know it doesn't mean much over the Internet but you have my word that this board has no damage and the spray job is hiding nothing. If you look at the FST and Firewire logos, that is showing through the paint. If there was anything sinister under there I'd imagine that would be showing through too.
I'd rather sell to someone local or at least meet up for a pick up so the buyer can give the board a thorough looking over. I baby all of my boards and I think that's clear when you see them in the flesh.
Also the paint job changes shade depending on the light so would also like the buyer to see that first to make sure they are happy with it. On a sunny day, especially in the water it's really bright, almost golden and very metallic. On a dull overcast day it's almost a pastel orange.
If someone doesn't like the paint it could be scraped or sanded off but it would be a bit of a mission.

Thanks for your honesty, it would certainly compliment my Unibrow, I tried the Vanguard and I hated it, so I have just the Unibrow (which is great) but I want something for small days. I live in Gower, so getting down to Devon is difficult, so I will look at the cost of couriers and get back to you
