Surftech Tolhurst 9'6" Longboard. £300.

Postby Philchapman » Thu Jun 03, 2010 4:47 pm

Surftech Tolhurst 9'6" Longboard. Great Progressive shape, and goes well in anything, 1' to as big as you like. Fin box plus side bites. Can be ridden as a single fin. 9'6"x23"x3 1/16". 18 1/8" nose/14 1/2" Tail. Blue/green fade deck, and white bottom.... nice colours for a surftech for a change. Good condition, just one pressure dent on a rail near the nose, that has flaked off a small bit of paint. (Not worth a repair). £300 anyone??? Now sold.

Hello Swartie. The board is in Crantock, near Newquay. It's not a heavy noserider per se, being a Surftech and all, but it noserides fine for me. 5's are easy, and 10's if you're locked in tight. It's more of an all-rounder board though, and "turns like a shortboard". Hope that helps, Phil.

I'm open to offers, or swaps for anything interesting. (Not 6'1" Thrusters).

There's not much info on the Surftech website about this board, but Bill Tolhurst is a well respected shaper from Australia, and has some great performance shapes for steeper faster waves. It also goes well in our sloppy summer mush. There's a good amount of rocker in the nose on this board, so late drops, turns off the top, etc., are not a problem.

It has a teardrop concave in the nose for noseriding, and a deep single to double concave, to vee off the tail, kind of like a Bonzer (Which is what attracted me to it in the first place). It's a great all-rounder.

Okay, it's been on here for a while so will anyone give me £300 for it? Light, strong, great all-rounder.
If not it's going in the local shop, see what they can get for it.
Not sure where the photo has gone. PM me if you want to see a photo.

Okay, I'll try Winter. Winter is here, anyone want a Progressive 9'6"?
I've seen some of the dinged up resprayed Surftechs that people have bought for £300 Plus... this isn't one of those.

Yep, me too. (A lot slower and older). It was the Caldecote photos and the bits from the mag that gave it away. I'm hanging reasonably loosely. P.M. me and we'll catch up?

How about some Bing stickers too? :D
