CHILDRENS WETSUIT EXCHANGE

Postby Chris F » Tue Sep 04, 2012 9:43 am

Edit: Changed the title and hopefully Roberdy will sticky this so it stays at the top.

Anyone got one their child has outgrown?

How about a kids wetsuit exchange buy/sell thread? They seem to outgrow them before they are worn out.

Wonder if it's worth stickifying?

Must be a few folk out there in a similar situation with fast growing kids.

Yes this is a good idea. Very young children tend to wear a wetsuit for a couple of weeks in the summer then they grow out of them.
We've got some here but we use them for visiting relations & friends, probably too thin for Scotland anyway!

Not planning on getting him in for a few hours at a time, so any wettie is good, even if it's thin. Most shops seem to think shorites are OK for kids, but up here they are pretty pointless.

Good plan mate, I have a couple kicking about that the boy will probably be out of for next year.
Both only shorties, but might be of use next year to someone, will hold onto them for the time being and get him to try them on early next year.
I know its a while off but if this gets make a sticky it will be there for next summer.

Tiki wetsuit socks (fits shoe size 4)-worn once

Alder wetsuit boots UK size 2

O' Niel 4/3 Epic wet suit size

Tiki Shortie K3

Tiki 5/3 wet suit-(has small hole in back but is still great for the average 8-10 yr old)

Have a girls Tiki full suit. Not sure of the thickness. Think it's about age 5. Need one for Izzy now for a week in Devon. If anyone has anything age 8-9 for my whopper of a 7 year old, it'd be appreciated.

Hi all,

Hoping someone can sort me out.

My son is keen to get in the water this year after his bed time reading has been "grey skies, green waves". He's desperate to get in, but I've only got a 3mm that fits him..just (and it's a poor quality one)

He's 7 years old, anyone got any suitable winter kit seen as how summer seems to have abandoned us this year?

I think I have some of his old wetties in the garage still. I'll fish out what we have and put them on here.

Hey all, looking to buy/borrow a cpl of wetsuits? My oldest is nearly 8 and she is fairly tall so I guess kiddies 8-9 would be perfect, don't care what it looks like as long as it stops her freezing to shivering point in 5 minutes flat as its her first year surfing. Obviously if I am taking one then the other has to come along too so also after a suit for my 4 yr old daughter, she's fairly dinky so I reckon a 3-4 would do great!

I don't have any kids gear to exchange but have a a small adult hood brand new for swapsies or various bits and pieces, cpl of new rashies, maybe an old leash or 2, 7 ft board sock........just ask! :-D

I've got my rip curl e bomb pro size 14 the may be up for sale, selling as i may have grown out of it. Used for a week of surfing, some of the neoprene on the sleeves and chest has become raised but it doesn't effect performance. Looking for about 70 pounds as its a 160 pound wet suit. (color white and lime green) Its not 100% for sale, im going to try it on one more time to see if it will fit or not, and then see if there has been any interest.
Thanks Callum
