Firefox 1.0

Postby NorthSeaMonster » Thu Nov 11, 2004 8:51 am

Just some free advertising for the new Mozilla Firefox 1.0 web browser.

I just downloaded it and it's great. Simpler. Cleaner. Free. And best of all, it's not microsoft (I just hate how the computer world revolves around microsoft)

Ah... except for Xbox. Xbox rocks. I'm picking up my new Halo2 game today, assuming the lineups aren't too big..

I just figured out how to use the adblock. You're right Paddy. It's awesome. They just disappear!!! Now I don't have to see how many singles are in my area!

Firefox Rocks! Been using it since August, and not had ANY problems with it - no pop-ups or other such crap that goes hand in hand with Microwhatever. Also downloaded Thunderbird for email at the same time, and can't fault that either.......... Will Mozilla pay us for saying all these nice things about them :?: :!:

i'm on a mac and use safari - an outstanding browser. no pop ups AND it has a reset feature that instantly clears your cookies cache browsing history autotype etc etc. which is bloody useful if you "enjoy" browsing the net (ahem ahem) and got your mac through the "laptop for teachers" programme...........
CAMWA founding member - the campaign for warm ale. Bloody kiwis stick everything in the fridge........cold ale is just plain wrong.....

Been using Opera for well over a year and would never go back to IE. Its latest defaults kinda sucks but its fully customizable, love it!
