gaffa!

It should fit in, you could always have it hanging out the back and tie the boot down.

Fitting your board in

I own one of those beasts and you should get it in. Don't expect to sit in the passenger seat though...

shouldn't be a problem - i can get my 7'9" into a rover convertible (which is basically a 3 dr 214) by winding the front seat flat and sticking the nose into the footwell. used to run a cavalier and it was a sight longer than the hairdressers car i now own.
p.s papa must have owned a classic car cos i drove a mid 70s vauxhall last year and by the time i'd finished the duck tape was structural. cant find that elusive door skin??? just f**k it, duck it and spray it    it even 'attached' the front headlight and bumper (well enough to pass an mot)

I can answer this. I had a mk3 cavalier hatchback and you can get at least 2 9'6" longboards inside and 2 passengers.

1. Take the headrest off the passenger front seat, and the rear seat (i had poverty spec model so this was not a problem)

2. Wind front seat backwards until it is pushing the rear seat (you can get a better angle by sliding the front seat forward)

3. Drop rear seat forward.

4. Open boot.

5. Slide board through so nose touches windscreen.

6. Drive.

Incidentally, I can also confirm that the board will survive a 30mph crash in this configuration with no dings (subject to 10mm board bag).

Option1/ Empty one tube of "no more nails" onto roof of car, place board on roof, jump up and down on board, go and have a cup of tea then its off to the beach.

Option 2/ Place board on roof of car, stand on board and use a Hilti gun to fire 4 bolts through board and roof. go inside car and put nuts on bolts.

Option3/ Tie leash to rear bumper, drive to beach.

Option4/ Get a bodyboard and a pushbike.

I can get my wife's 8'6" board into a 5 door peugeot 206 and a 5 door corsa.

So should be no problems...

Mate had a 3 door peugeot 106 and could get a 7'6" board in there.

Just drop back seat and front seat and should be sorted....

Just me driving about 20mph too fast for the corner. Idiot. It was the untimely end of my 189,000 mile munching cav. The board did penetrate the windscreen which I guess absorbed some of the energy, thank you laminated glass!!

I had cuts and bruises and hurt my hand a bit which still gives me a bit of jip 6 weeks on. Mainly my driving ego was severely bruised. (A good thing)
