Danny, that surf swell one is exactly the sort of thing I was thinking would be useful.

When do you need to start paying for it and how much is it?

MegaJump
NOVA
LingoPal Swedish & Italian
XE Currency Exchange
BA/KLM/BMI online checkin
Windguru
MetOffice
Day Tides
Reactable (fricken ace this is if you are into synthesis)
Gizmodo
Endgadget

Spend a lot of time travelling so tend to rack up loads of apps, been thru more than I can count but don't keep them on phone for long usually as I need space for all the travel "sports movies"...

after a while you pick up in jokes based on an earlier one

statistically 9 out of 10 people enjoy a gang rape

statisticly only 8 out of 10 people enjoy a gangrape. number 9 doesn;t like sloppy 8ths

statisticly only 7 out of 10 people enjoy a gangrape. number 9 doesn;t like sloppy 8ths and number 8 was feeling guilty as it was his sister.

and so it goes on.

I'm on a Nokia, anyone have any decent MSW style apps for Symbian? Or any other good apps for Symbian for that matter. Are MSW gonna create a Symbian app?

meh, you'll be lucky, as symbian and micowank have teamed up it'll be going all android soon as. Symbian was good middleware for mobile but they can't complete with the majors that have their own handsets. Oh, and they are cnuts, just made someone I know redundant, silver lining tho, the payout is massive and the new opportunities are all over the place :)

Just found this. Could be epic.

Also check out Browse Later Lite for offline web browsing. Although it doesn't work with all sites.

Both free apps.

if anyone works for themselves the following are good

i spend- expenses tracker
mile bug- milage tracker
todoodle- to do lists
calendargoo- google calendar
VAT calculator- lots of them
invoice generator

and my fav is world business card reader- you can copy sigs from emails or take photos of business cards and drop them into your contacts

games wise i am loving MX moto at the minute- really addicitive

useless but fun: shipfinder- point it at a ship and it tells you what cargo is

and you have to have mobile finder- if any of your pals have a secret spot and they wont tell you. if they have a i phone you can track where they are...dont tell anyone i told you about this!!

Film on Tv. ... Ideal for watching the early morning rugby games from the warmth of your bed. If I was a teenager these days I don't think I would ever get out of bed !!!

Just found a MSW app for symbian in the Nokia Store, but then I saw that doesn't work with my E6. :-( Probably it's because it's a recent phone. Should I wait for some update?

Shazam, use it often off the TV or in shops when something interesting is playing.

I've got androidlost and it works pretty well. After losing my phone for 2 days I could track where it was on googlemaps and the GPS and then set off an alarm and flashing light to track it down (it had slipped down the back of a seat in the van), No good if battery is dead though.

Google sky maps is one of my favourites great and easy to use. If you want more detail then mobile observatory isn't free, but has stacks of great info about comets, meteor showers, eclipses moon phases etc.
