Nuclear is not viable. Accept it. Its all well and good to spruke about the cheap power etc etc , but until nuclear scientists develop a way to neutralise their waiste , they have done the small easy part of a big job , and created far more problems than they know how to solve.

My position on the topic remains unchanged.....and this is not a kneejerk reaction to the Helen Caldicott press-release. However , if the general media begins to report on this side of the arguement , it has enough sensationalism to possibly swing public opinion back towards the "environmental issues" , that have been largely forgotten since the global financial crisis a few years back. Politically , we need to have forums like Copenhagen firmly back on the agenda , with genuine transparency .It won't solve the big problems , but an accepted greener gobal attitude IMO is the only way to look to the future responsibly.............all pro-nuclear lobby groups should be put on notice.....

Sorry mate but a nuclear disaster does not prop up the failed CO2/ global warming fraud.

Environmental issues have been hijacked and false ones created by the government/corporate fraudsters to further their toxic agendas.

Which is exactly the reason why " environmental issues" should be put firmly back on the global agenda with the main aim being " TOTAL" transparency . This is only possible via overwhelming global public opinion. The CO2/global warming issue is about 1% of the total on the real agenda of environmental issues that need to be adressed !

I suggest that you read the story " Little Red Riding Hood' paying particular attention to 'Grandma'

Basically the whole global government thing which you are pushing is a wolf in Grannies clothing.

Its the "power of the dog". Don't trust such an animal to make the right decisions.....woof woof

My brother works on fishing boats in the Irish sea and has witnessed first hand the messed up fish found close to sellafield. Nuclear power is a disastor and we cannot control it properly no matter what spin is put out there

Don't be silly Roy... ....the need for environmental changes on a global scale is obvious , and overdue . The GFC and its effect has taken the focus away from what was a growing groundswell of public concern over environmental carnage that's been happening for too many years . Try to look past the conspiracy theories( which are obvious) and look at the real problems. Strong public opinion is the best way any democracy can override the onslaught of the hidden agendas of politicians and the faceless people and multinational companies behind them .

To my knowledge , there is no arguement , on either side of the debate about the rising sea level . The amount if ice melting at both polar regions is past the point of arguement , and accepted as fact by both sides. Ozone layer depletion is also accepted as fact . The "cause" is disputed. The Acme CO2 Company won't take the blame.....and all the farmers say that their cows don't fart........jury's out on that one... 8) .......one things certain , if you live out in the country , and visit the city ,you will notice its a bit harder to breathe with all that burnt petrol flaoting around in the air , from endless traffic !..........also worth noting that running a hose from your exhaust pipe , and into the car window is an extremely popular and very effective and quick method of committing suicide.....

The whole carbon issue is a scam and your suicide comment is evil.

There was recently an advertising campaign in Australia run by ABC which contained a calculator which schoolchildren were supposed to use to figure out when to commit suicide in order to 'save the planet'. It seems that you are getting caught up in this anti humanity trend.

Appalling.

I'd rather do without elecricity altogether than have that sort of thing going on.

While the scammers distract everyone with CO2 BS including the new 'acid oceans' fraud the real disaster of radiation continues at an ever increasing pace.

The comment was a perfect and true analogy about the effects of breathing burnt petrol , and I reiterate = ROY ,TRY TO LOOK PAST THE CONSPIRACY THEORIES AND LOOK AT THE PROBLEMS !!!!..........and it does not seem like I am caught up in one of your anti humanity things.......utter nonsense,,

Regardless. Just as Roy and his soldiers of the apocalypse shouldn't discount all the "mainstream" news as suspicious, nor should the rest of the world discount what these alternative news sites are broadcasting. Here's a link to a local news page. http://www.midweekkauai.com/2011/05/is- ... %99s-fish/

A typhoon has just swept through the region off Japan and obviously any particles in the water would be carried on any currents.

Don't shoot the messenger without reading his letter chaps.
