Any body use this tor browser? What is the deep web/silk road market place?

So far i have discovered that the tor browser allows you to browse online anonymously, and the silk road market place uses its own currency but can only be accessed using the deep web (tor browser) and it is an online marketplace for weapons/drugs and stuff. My friend claims he had the best weed sent to his door step with royal mail using the silk road market place.

Any way i am not interested in buying weapons or drugs, however it is quite interesting to know more about it.

my housemate who is a software engineer or something along those lines, suggested its pretty legit in that you cant be tracked....but think for one minute what would happen if the royal mail just happened to intercept your parcel with a 1kg of weed in it, with your address on the front...

Don't quote me on this but I think that post in the UK is the responsibilty of the person named on the item. So sending the 'item' to the right address but wrong name should offer some protection.

I was under the impression silk road in particular had to shut a year ago or so. theres other cropped up in its place tho.

The govt don't have to do anything. We put everything on public view every day, do their legwork for them... They know when you're in work, when you're shopping, when you're at the cinema, pub, restaurant, gym... And why? Because we're thick enough to tag ourselves everywhere.
