The worlds gawn mad! I think I shop from about 5% of any given supermarkets shelves. The rest of it is utter useless crap whose only purpose is to swindle people out of their cash, and ruin their health, so they then "need" more toxic medicines (which just happen to be made by some of the same companies, or parent companies). Eg; What IS Febreze? Can't smell that "bad" smell anymore? That's 'cos it's just ruined your sense of smell!
Same for other Air "fresheners", Deodorants (contain chemicals to make you smell worse... so you think you need more deodorants!), Tampons (contain chemicals to make you ladies bleed more, so you need to use more tampons), Perfumes, household cleaning products, processed foods, artificial sweeteners, preservatives, G.M. "foods", the list goes on and on. Thing is, unless you detox from this stuff you don't always realise what it's doing to you..... and if you do, the majority think you're a mental wacko for being so "picky". Lets all stop buying this shit, eh?
Black wrote:Yes, believe it or not I have discovered that you can purchase frozen baked potatoes! WTF
So the scenario goes like this:
A company uses energy to bake a potato. Energy is then used to freeze it AND to store it. The consumer buys it and uses more energy to keep it frozen until such time they feel like eating it. To eat it more energy is used for the recommended 10 minutes of microwaving from frozen to end up with..... a baked potato!
What's the alternative? Stick a raw potato in the microwave for LESS than 10 minutes and you end up with a baked potato. I tell you honestly a guy at work didn't know you could cook a raw potato in the microwave, he was very surprised.
Besides any idiot knows you can get a whole frozen meal microwaved in 10 minutes so why settle for a baked potato??

That shit scares me. Surely if frozen baked potatoes lure people away from such unpleasantries it can only be a good thing?
