For example: I know someone who doesn't play many videogames, but in our social circle, quite a few of us do. She'll then blag her way through a conversation just so she can be seen as "cool". Seriously, if you're not that into something, why bother faking it? The sad thing is, it happens more and more each day with more people.

Also on the radio when the interviewee is hardly audible so you turn it up, then the interviewer becomes deafening. Do they ever do any eq-ing, with all the modern tech you'd think it would be auto-balanced - just a bunch of lazy shitheads!!

Could be an urban myth, but I heard from a cousin of a friend of a guy (or some such) that adverts are louder than the show because during the breaks people use the loo, or stick the kettle on, so they crank the volume so the viewer can hear it when they're not at their TV sets.

tv advert people use something called a` compressor`(guitarists will know this) which beefs up the sound and makes it more punchy......along with turning the volume up probably............friggin liberty it is.

Trying to find at car park at Noosa during a cyclone swell...air conditioning broke on car and driving round sweating for half hour while watching perfect walls race down the point. ^^ man that tool me back to GC. Good sized perfect lined rare south swell. Saw every set coming as me and my mate were cleaning aircons and canopys. The beach was a 30 second walk round the corner and our boards 30 seconds the other way. Still baffles me why we didn't just go for a quick splash. We knew the peeps we were working for they would have been cool. I was just helping my mate for free so he could finish the job quicker. It was a cash job which he had to nail that weekend. Anyway. We finish in time for an hour or so of light and as soon as we finish work the sets stop. It goes from HH to ankle in no time at all. I was devastated. But looking back i wouldn't have that memory any other way. Nice one for the triggering the old synapses smiler
