And fixing both of these costs money. Who do you think pays for your medical care?

Okay. What about the top companies who don't pay ANY tax? Is Cameron chasing them? That's a lot of numbers you quote there. Did you do all those sums yourself? Or did you blindly believe whatever source you got them from? How do you know they're not trying to manipulate you with fear to keep you spouting the same old capitalist bollocks? There's always endless amounts of money for war/bombs. Always. A fraction of which could provide enough food and shelter for the whole world. You are being duped. There's many a true word spoken in jest.

Another thing I hate... endless political debates.

Ahh....you're a crazy conspiracy theorist....now it makes sense!

So, again, how about some actual solutions, rather than just saying how shit everything is?

Cameron is pro NHS, you only have to see what he went through with his disabled kid, and even he would have baulked at paying private for tht amount of care.
JayP wrote:Fracking?

I'm for it as Ive said before. So are all parites aside from the greens, and they are against everything.
JayP wrote:Oil/carbon emissions?

can't see either party being much different on this. personally I think the case is overstated. That said, not a good idea to shit in your own water tank.

If you're too lazy to find out about a proposed new law that gives corporations the power to sue countries (including this one!) if they don't do their bidding then I doubt you are well informed on anything else.

As for the Nhs. Whatever you think Camerons private views are it is being sold off piecemeal right now just like the police force is.

A good friend of mine who used to be quite a hippy in his outlook now earns alot of money. The change in his beliefs is astonishing, quite sad and actually scary. Hes gone all Gordon Gekko and believes the world is dog eat dog. He actually recently said "look at Australia - the aborigines weren't doing anything constructive with it" !!!! Basically justifying the anhililation of a race for the sake of "progress". He has similar views on America. He'd probably vote Trump if he could but can't so he's Tory.

If that's your point of view too then I fear for our future. I never thought people of my generation would think like that.

I'm a 'conspiracy theorist' in about the same way that old grannies holding banners outside their local library, or anyone demonstrating in public, is now considered a 'potential terrorist' by the government. It's time to wake up folks...

Good article that Phil. Leven and kamikaze please read it.

This sentence in particular strikes a chord -

"In short, we're living through one of the biggest and most blatant transfers of public money to private hands in living memory."

A "conspiracy theorist"! You say that as if its a bad thing! -

"A conspiracy theory is an explanatory proposition that accuses two or more persons, a group, or an organization of having caused or covered up, through secret planning and deliberate action, an illegal or harmful event or situation."

You can't tell me you are so naive that you don't think that is happening within this government Leven ????!!!

Pro surfers giving interviews....we all know some of them aren't the sharpest tools, but Medina being interviewed at Pipe was painful.... "So like, it's like.......(long pause).....like windy, yeah?".

I know English isn't his first language, but jeez....

In a position to influence the media and did so. That's not a new thing! In reverse, Labour would do exactly the same thing. Buy 5 major newspapers and see the different way they all report the same story. It's hilarious!

'Reality is what you can get away with'. - Robert Anton Wilson :D

I've no doubt that 'new labour' (tory-lite) under Blair/Millibland would do the same, but there's something about Corbyn that gives me hope that he has more integrity than that. I guess we'll see when he becomes P.M. next? If you doubt that will happen, then you move in very different circles to me, as every day I see peoples growing hatred of him and the self-servatives.

to be fair , not sure it was them really or whether it was Xcel - unboxed my new gloves yesterday just before going in. Left one fitted then couldn't get the right one on - turns out one is XL the other is L - you would have thought someone somewhere would have checked the contents.

I returned them today and they promise I will have them tomorrow - time will tell. I said to the guy to get someone to check that I don't get a similar pair back  pound to a penny that's what turns up in 2 weeks time

Burgers are bad for you, as are chips, soft drinks, wine, red meat, etc, etc

Those new wine limits are mad, I've drunk my months allowance already.
