Anyone from Southampton or thereabouts?

Jut wondering if there's anyone in or around Southampton that fancies doing some day trips or overnighters? I haven't been around these parts for very long, and would like to check out some of the local-ish beaches. Also keen for the usual spots in Devon & Cornwall. I'm pretty much a beginner, but have all my own gear and keen to get away a bit more often.

I live in Southampton only surfing my local beaches as to skint to travel but would like someone to car share so I can go further afield .

I live near Chichester and plan on heading west to Polzeath a fair few times this year, more than happy to convoy or give lift (split fuel costs) if anyone is heading that way at the same time. I'm still pretty much learning myself so I rarely find myself out in the back sets.

I'm based in Fareham and would be up for a car share, like you I'm a beginner but I'm also 51 yrs of age so if you are looking for someone younger that's fair enough.
The last time I went to Devon on my own in Oct 2011, I bought a new board the wife was not that happy. She says If I go again I need someone to keep me on the straight and narrow.

I'm heading from Southampton to Newquay over Easter. Leaving early morning on Good Friday and returning in the evening on Monday. 3 spaces in the car, give me a shout if you like a lift.

Desperate to get further west in the next few weeks if anyone keen to share a lift. Im in Bournemouth if yoy southampton guys are heading throu or anyone more local wants to share. My lot this way think its a little too far for a day trip, and fed up with surfing the mush we get. It,s a bit early but looking like it could be very good on Saturday light winds and groundswell, will be surfing a Dorset reef . Mid morning as a bit sketchy at low water.This is a long walk but a short paddle,if you are interested you need to be confident in the water but this is a great wave to surf

There is a website called www.surfermates.com that allows you to find surfers that live near you to share lifts to the beach.....
