Yes it was surfable, that line's about a mile and a half long. You'd have to paddle a fair bit to get anywhere near position. Didn't see the two in there catch anything though in 5 - 10 minutes, just a bit of board ditching. I wasn't up for it but you can't help think, one long one would make the year!!

I thought the same as danny when I saw that, looks like a paddlefest for some fat closeouts Not much for scale in there though either, and I've never surfed there. Pics of croyde look a lot more fun to me than any other pics I've seen posted here from this swell.. My dad is at constantine and he said it was pretty crazy out there and a lot of people just getting swept all over the bay, think he surfed harlyn in the end.

Had a boat trip round that rock every Summer when I was a kid!

Didn't really see how great this looked till I got home and looked at the pics...... sun, wispy clouds.
I found the conditions pretty challenging... 3 waves in an hour but... there you go!

The last ocean going paddle steamer in the world - The Waverely. Steamed straight passed us fishing last night..... classic design just looks right to the eye

That's my phone Phil - typed the bastard password wrong 3 times, smeared fish gink over the keypad as I watched the Waverley steam past , hence the picture of it from far away - had a brilliant shot right in front of me , Ben Lomond in the background lovely light , beautiful ship and well, you know the rest.......
