End of the 'ROAD' for Asian made Surfboards?

Any discussion on shaping, designing, repairing and riding surfcraft of any type or shape. Also a good place to ask the 'what board should I buy?' question.

End of the 'ROAD' for Asian made Surfboards?

Some say it is, with a Robotic system taking over from the outdated CNC, I think it will be down to price, but if Burton (Al Merrick) etc get on board it may well happen.

A very misleading "mission statement" , the elephant in the room being their over stated preference for producing perfectly 'exact' copies , time after time after time , as if it was a virtue to create another sausage machine manufacturing plant for the surf industry.....are they even capable of building a genuine custom made board to an individuals requirements ? As usual , they seem intent on telling surfers what they should ride , which just happens to be only what they make . ......ahhh , the joys of modern marketing techniques , and their dreams of dominating the world....
