Only had chance to take it for two quick surf in ankle slappers but it paddles so nicely I know, as always, it's going to be a good one.

I saw this when I picked mine up. Had a little fondle too! Gorgeous. .The white tint is subtle but lovely.

Are Diplock the guys for full on custom boards? Looking for something different for a change and they seem to do some interesting stuff, like the keels and tomo shapes....

I have four Diplock boards [and have had four others in my time] and they have always been exceptional. Go have a word with them but Bro and Paul know their stuff.

This one's a Kidman Longfish- 6'10". Geppy keels and just seriously beautiful. I'm reluctantly bringing it up there for one of your countrymen.

I may have posted this before but it's worth looking at again- Kidman's Skip Frye. Very much the performance end of the fish spectrum, surprisingly pinched rails

Possibly stretching the whole fish concept, but Ellis Ericson riding a set of his own design keels and doing it really well

Dudes hair is the same colour as his shorts... please tell me that's a coincidence?
And the speeded up footage just looks lame (to me). Sorry.

Sadly I'm so used to seeing that speeded up footage nowadays I barely register it. Ellis' hair/beachwear combo? No excuse for that! He surfs brilliantly though, and the fins are great. He's apparently on a bit of a Greenough style edge board mission at the moment....

Yep, great surfer for sure. Would like to see some of that edge board footage when it comes out.
From what I've seen so far the boards seem out of balance on the speed vs control axis... for a shortboard surfboard anyway.
Great to see some new ideas being tried out though. At times like these I always think, "what would Roy say?"

What speeded up footage? The spray looks like it's speeded up, but it's just the resolution. Guy's going his regular speed, have seen him surf in Bali. Good video I thought, interesting fins too

Functional design never dies, boomerangs always tend to come back. les poissons de quille ne mourront jamais.

Great vid ,that one. The egg section is the best for me too but its always good to see Burch do his thing.
Saw TW riding a thruster the other day.. boy's got some power in him when he wants to unleash, I was surprised!

I saw TW live.. just trying to remember.. pretty sure it was the butcher's.. we had a good chat because of the queue (this was christmas eve i think..) he didn't have a board with him though. He was buying sausages and some bacon - he said something about handshaping some pigs in blankets.. i'd switched off by then tbh.
