Not quite the same, and of course unique, clever not stupid, boring to the bored, interesting to the interested.

Actually the difference between the earl 10-6 and the 13-9 Dragon board is clear, but it's nice to know that they can be recognised as having the same pedigree.

GD from the surfermag forum did a comparison between a 60's Phil Edwards longboard and the Dragon board rocker, He said "Colour me a little surprised"

My rockers were developed without reference to any other longboards, so it is interesting to see how they compare.

That profile bears no resemblance to a Phil Edwards curve at all...........

The profile doesn't but the rocker is almost identical.

No one suggested that the profile is similar.

If any one of your sons was gifted an xcel wetsuit and a channel islands thruster would you let them surf them?

I don't ask them to ride my boards they can ride what they like and wear what they like.

The boards are available if they want to use them, that's all.

My 16 year old has a few wetsuits, most of which are standard colours like black/grey etc.

Spell it any way you like Phil.

Joseph (24) is 6'1"
Patrick (23) is 6'
James (21) is 6'3"
Tristan (16) is 6'4"

Victor, Andrew and Robin have not reached their full height yet but Andrew is going to be huge, he was also a 12 pound 9 ounce baby.

Tristan is a regional boxing champ, he's pretty strong but not as strong as his father although he has a much longer reach.

Drop in behind late when I'm already riding and I'll keep riding, give room and share or pull out as I see fit.

When taking off on a wave which already has a 13'9" 48 pound board on it I advise calm and discretion.

Looked to me like he was still riding after you pulled off Roy. Surely not an example of a board making sections yours could not?

Yep and I didn't say that it was an example of a section others can't make.

I gave him room, as one does.

just yanking yer chain Roy :D

I like watching you surf, it's different to the 'norm'. The board looks fun and rather nimble for it's size. Do people ever ask to have a go on your boards? Would love to see footage of other folk riding them, give me an idea of how I may fair if ever given the chance.

That's ok.

We have lots of people lining up to ride the Ghost 13 which is heading to California, and quite a few rode it in NZ too. I have some footage of Scooter and Beano on it in Dunedin from 2008. It's not the norm for people to ask for a ride at the beach though, although it does happen.
