Remove a tailpad - anyone know how to?

I've bought a secondhand board with a tailpad fitted, I can't get on with tailpads, does anyone know how I can remove it without damaging the board?

Haven't really tried it but I think coxie once said to me use dental floss or fishing wire to saw under it?

Hairdryer. Don't get it too close just get the adhesive nice and warm and it should peel off. Meths to get rid of the last sticky bits.

Try using a blade scraper, be gentle with it, not too agressive. Get one that uses a razor blade, nice and sharp.

Just used the decorators method with a little craft knife, worked a treat

Just in case anyone else is interested, combining the two suggestions above, hairdryer and fishing line does the job plus some wax remover to see the glue off afterwards - all help appreciated, thanks all.
