Polyester resin question

Any discussion on shaping, designing, repairing and riding surfcraft of any type or shape. Also a good place to ask the 'what board should I buy?' question.

Polyester resin question

Postby Hampea1 » Sun Jul 23, 2017 8:01 am

I recently learnt to do ding repairs working in a surf camp but all the material we used were just in old plastic water bottles so didn't fully learn all the chemicals. Just wondering if polyester resin and cloth used to fix boats is good for repairing boards like this http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/122183424392?_t ... mwBanner=1 ? Any tips would be greats!

Cheers

hi, the glass in the kit is 450 gram chopped strand mat , this is not suitable for surfboard repairs ,you need 4oz cloth or less for repairs ,the kit below has all you need plus you can download instructions from seabase as well .pete
