Caribbean/South America/Mexico

Postby insideout » Sat Aug 22, 2015 6:19 am

Does anyone know of a spot around these areas that gets good consistent surf but also windy conditions to kitesurf too?

Looking between the months of October/November.

Thanks.

Had to let that job go, couldn't give enough notice/find a replacement quick enough in current position would of dropped them in the poop big time.

Fair enough, surf has been shit anyways! Few good days but always during the week, no good for this weekend warrior, no wonder 'chucking a sickie' is an Aussie institution...

Sounds good, have a few more options open now. Trying to get some down time in and just surf without thinking about working haha it's quite difficult!

Pacasmayo in Northern Peru is pretty consistent with both waves and wind (they hold windsurf comps there). You also have a few other surf spots like Chicama (which also gets quite windy) and Poemape nearby.
Southern Peru around Paracas is supposed to be good for kitesurfing as pretty much always windy with big, calm bays, there are a few secret/lesser known surf spots around there that shouldn't be too difficult to find either

Barbados. Great time of year to go, too.

Reckon Peru would be the go.

I was surfing in Lobitos, but there were a few kitesurfers turning up most days when the wind picked up. Pacasmayo is a pretty nice spot too.

Nice! Think I'd definitely choose Tahiti over most options in the world!
