It's been a while, but when I was there in 2001 or 2 there was only 1 on the S side of town. It was mostly caravanning but had a tent area. Decent enough, and in walking distance of town centre and town beach

Last few years I've been I've stayed with the rug rats in a hotel in town which is only about 20euros per night more than the campsite and included brekkie and pool (though you had to wear a daft cap).

Before that when I went in the van a few times I just free camped at Doolin Point (on my own for a whole week there once without any issue) or a bit south of Lahinch near that massive Golf hotel.

Halfway between Lahinch & Spanish Point there is a wee campsite on the headland - I wouldn't want to be there this week
