Central America / Caribbean

Postby insideout » Sat Jun 11, 2016 10:21 am

One area I haven't really travelled so far (did a stint in Mexico up and down the Baja coast Ensenada - Puerto Vallarta).

Have a month off in September and want to get out that way either Central America/Mexico/Caribbean.

Want to do a mix of surf/Kitesurf, will be travelling solo.

Been looking at Dominican Republic, Cabarete area looks good for both sports.

Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated.

Turks and Caicos is huge for kite surfing but never saw any surfable waves whilst I was there. Personally, I'm a huge fan of both Costa Rica and Nicaragua.
If only there was a simpler way to get difficult things done.

Cabarete is a great area for surfing and kite surfing. It's one of the top 10 kitesurfing destinations in the world and one of the best surfing destinations in the Caribbean. Encuentro beach has a variety of breaks from beginner to advanced. Check out this link for more info:http://chinosurf.com/pt-1-your-guide-to-surfing-in-dominican-republics-playa-encuentro/
