A worldwide surfboards rental service: help me improve it!

Postby g.andreini » Thu Feb 16, 2017 10:08 am

Hi, I'm working on a project (called Surfy Nomads) to make the experience of travelling for surfing easier, at the moment I'm are collecting suggestions and impressions from potential users and I created an online survey at this URL: http://www.surfynomads.com/survey

I ask if you can spend a few minutes to complete the survey, your help will allow me to create a better service for all surfers around the world.
Thank you for your support :)

^^ think it would be a great service for travelling and avoiding airline charges & the ding patrol.

Just a numbers game. Sure we all have some boards that never get surfed, few bumps & bruises that could earn you enough dough to buy a new one ............... if you live in surf central

A few boards starting to filter in, No boards listed for Cornwall, so clicked 'widen your search' and a couple of boards came up in Newquay and one in Baja,
maybe ok if your in a place for a couple of days, but 10 euro's a day plus fixed fee's plus deposit, just as well buy a cheap board and give it away on leaving.

Thanks for your comment thechimp. We're actually trying to provide a service where you don't just find cheap boards but also good shapes, maybe not in perfect conditions, but sealed and perfect for surfing during your surf trip. As for pricing you can get a board for a couple of weeks for 155 € which is actually a good price: if you buy a used board and sell it back you usually get the 50%, so if you buy a 400 € board you get 200 € back and you payed 200 € which is more than 155 €.
