Warm surf Jan-Feb? Help needed

Postby Nick_swede » Tue Sep 26, 2017 10:58 am

Planning a Surf trip for beginning of January to end of Feb.

Feels like i have searched the whole internet and not come up with anything yet. Many sites say the opposite of others regarding weather and sweell size, so im lost.

Been to Sri Lanka and El salvador and would like something new.

Should be warm water and intermediate surf, and the waves are most important, not so much for sightseeing :)

Any suggestions would be very appreciated

Thanks

Scoot 6th Jan Athens to Gold Coast 385 euros, 26 Feb Gold coast - Athens 279 euro's, stop in Singapore, Brand new 787 dreamliner, then 5 min taxi ride to
Backpackers or apartment one street back in Coolangatta, 2 mins walk to superbank, crowded yes on good days, but pick your before/after school (Feb) work window and avoid Snapper and you will still get loads of waves, no crocs this far south yet! (as in SL)

was just an option on a new flight direct to the goldy, if you had'nt been to Oz, as you only mentioned SR and Salvador. Jan-Feb indo off season, Phillipines? maybe not, black flag spreading from Marawi. South Africa? summer southern hemi. Martin Daly reckons the Ments has had its day,( Jordan Heuer is in jail in Padang after that incident at rifles)
maybe the Marshall Islands?

Any suggestions are welcome, so thank you.

Been checking Surfguide.com and they say Ecuador, Philippines, Sumatra, Indonesia, Colombia, Mexico. So maybe one of those. But read in a lot of places Indo has bad weather in jan-feb, but maybe not everywhere? And Sumatra may be too advanced.

Would be awesome to go out in the middle of nowhere and find empty breaks, but since im travelling alone its nice to go somewhere with people :)
