Virgin atlantic

Hi All, Has anyone had any recent experiences bringing a 9'6 longboard back from california. I've been told that I must contact Virgin atlantic cargo but cant get through. And no luck online either! Thanks

For those of you interested.
I've researched the matter. From 9/11 flights will only take up to 6'3. The Cargo wont take stuff from non companies because of 9/11, from USA.
Fedex quoted me about 750 door to door. But then possible damage?
Bugger.

Is there no online "share-a-shipping-crate" website? Just a thought.

Just used Virgin Atlantic, if you take a board, mine was 6’3 bag , mate had a triple 7’10 bag, as long as you put all your gear in and it doesn’t weigh over 23 Kg it’s all good, take another bag to be checked-in and they will charge you!

Yeah bit of a grey area, think the max board bag you are allowed to take as part of your checked luggage is meant to be what equates to 6ft, but that's not a fat lot of good for most people.
