Any questions about learning to surf, or general questions about equipment, technique or improving your surfing.

I know there are loads of this type of post, but wanted to get some help. I have recently returned back to surfing and along with my waistline and general fitness my flexability has also disapeared. My pop up is more of a amble up and currently can only get to my feet via my knees, my issue is that I have returned and decided to start my second surfing life at woolie which requires a bit more speed. Any tips on getting to my feet on a work around for older surfers who have lost a little flexibility.

Thank you in advance

go to vinyasa yoga and do some pilates, get fit to surf, don't surf to get fit.

Ironically catching a steeper wave helps, as the board drops away from you its easier to get your feet on it.
If I was using both my knees I'd try hard just to use the back knee only and get the front foot through.
