Is it worth setting up a MSW Forum Members page on FB?

maybe i could order an overpriced custom board from the US and then sell it at a loss... that always generates a bit of activity?? on a separate note.. has anyone tried to log onto surfer mag forum? Seems to have been shut down for the last few weeks.. :D

I'm here Philshoz but probably no help now!
No waves and a useless back - I'm thinking maybe no more surf ever for me??? Depressed :-(
Does anyone surf tiny waves? If so what is it like? Below a certain size, waves just lose all appeal for me.
Surfer mag forums are dead for Europe until they sort some crap out (it does say somewhere on their website) which I suspect is a legal thing as our laws are different but surely that would affect all forums in USA?

A facebook page may attract more users but will suffer the usual Facebook crap of structureless waffle as one single conversation. Like a forum with only one thread.

Errmmm anyone watching J-Bay?

Sadly 'NO', the whole WSL Ziffer thing has gone to Ratshit, Beachgrit/Stab is utter garbage like Swellnet, even the 'Goat' if sticking his boat race on Miley Cirus's crutch FFS,

thats good to know WAM.. the thought that i'm helping others is what drives me on.. :D

bollox to facebook i just think people need to pull their fingers out and post more.. surfing tiny waves is good fun.. don't think you need a log either.. i have a 7'10 fluid juice hull that goes in ankle slappers.. quicker to plane, turns easier and responds to minute ankle adjustments.. and a lot less hassle than lugging logs!

I still look in from time to time, gone are the halycon days of Deadly, Twattee Boy, etc though. Ah, they were fun - endless wind ups and tantrums.

As for surfing tiny waves, I use my 5'6" Lost Bottom Feeder. Can surf just about anything worth surfing on that and way more fun than a massive longboard.

‘Hardestmanalive’ did it for me, bought a wetsuit size medium and he’s 6’1, ended up with a slanging match with him and the shop owner near Liskard, funniest thing I’ve ever read. I miss those days.

The funniest one i ever read was a first post by a South Devon surf spot resident, threatening what he would do to the culprits who painted his deck pink,
Removed after a couple of days but brilliant whoever did it.

Used to quite enjoy how Roy’s threads descended into comedy bickering.
Oh and apparently he sold the board for $1.5 million
Shame about the board but inevitable really, if someone set up a FB thing I’d lurk

Surfermag forum cannot be accessed from the EU... Non compliance with GDPR or something I think. They are claiming to be working on it, but considering time now elapsed I would be suprised if they bother.

Been a lurker on Surfermag for years but mainly for the slow motion car crash that is the politics forum. If that's what liberal California types think, the mind boggles.

So... which of you longboarding cvnts still wants a no deal Brexit?

Ironic that the most active thread on here lately is this one with people saying goodbye.
My 2pence...
Yes bollocks to Facebook.
ears you need to start buying Logs... not to ride, just to sell to me at a huge discount.
The 'sport' of surfing may be alive but it's dead to me. Just going surfing and not giving a fuck though...
Black, buy a log, get those toes on the nose dewd.
I think we all miss Roy.

fuck me that's not what you'd want to see wobbling down the line towards you at 6 mph as you struggle to muster some sort of duckdive.

Such a shame it's going, I often have a look to see whats happening wether there's a board for sale to tempt me or a thread worth adding too, looking at this thread there's a lot of people still doing the same thing, it was always a great place to sell boards and gear but once I found my perfect board (bing pintail lightweight) I stopped looking. Iv had a crack at building boards in foam and wood from inspirational threads on here ,which gave my huge respect for other shapers..cos it's bloody hard to get it just right. Its been a pleasure .

trouble is I've run out of things to say about wetsuits and secret spots.

I see a fair few folk who used to post on here up and down the coast and in an out the water, but can't see any of them posting anything particularly riveting either :-D . Whatsapp has a bit to answer for, .

Please though someone post something 'though, as I don't want this to be like the final image in a dead man's eye...

I would say goodbye but not sure i'll ever not end up back here looking at posts again unless someone officially pulls the plug on this forum. I remember going to house parties at TheDeadly's when he lived next to a church, wonder where he lives now? Who could ever forget Roys ridiculous posts and videos, if i ever wanted a nap I'd fire up a Roy video and watch him straight line for 15 minutes.... zzzzz zzzz zzzz

In the age of the internet...someone on Insta posted a secret spot on the Cornish south coast leaving a headland in the image , so a friend of mine google mapped the coast and found it! Don’t think a ‘secret spot’ exists anymore. Viva the www.
