Horrendous, conflicting reports but from the recovered boards pic, looks like two shortboards the rest kite boards. The one main factor is the foam, even if you could have made an air pocket above your head, you have ONE sense left, Touch, you would not even know which way to swim. :-(

Those boards are 'extra' missing boards - they were found during the thorough search but the authorities weren't sure if they were simply lost boards or whether there were more missing people.

Lumpy, so not ideal for a kooky re-start.
Forgot how beautifully blue the sea was, I kept looking at it thinking wow thats blue!
