Recipient is a girl called Kate, artist is Jim Ryan of "dam cool tattoos" His portrait stuff is amazing!

Saw his work years ago, very good at graffiti stuff if I remember well.

Its really beautiful. I love this style of tattooing - hardly any outlining. Its given me an idea though for my sleeve. Was thinking of a zombie on a surfboard, then I thought of a pin up and now I am thinking of a zombie pin up on a surfboard but lying down like this mermaid chick! Cheers Jory. :idea:

I totally agree. My tattooist has been working on a piece for a skater and its amazing. Its a massive skull on his back but the skulls head is flipped open on hinges and loads of little skateboards with wings are flying out of the skull. Its sounds and looks completely mental but so much work has gone into it and the idea is awesome. I'll have to try and get a pic of it.

I've just had a mexican sugar skull added to my tattoo sleeve on inside of my arm (lined only...no colour yet so it looks cack). I had a flip skateboard years ago with a similar design so I've always wanted one. It will look lovely when the colour is done. I love skulls :-D

Loving the sugar skull Tink, I'm about 10 hours in on my 3/4 sleeve about 8 more hours to go, my Mrs is on about a sugar skull, but she changes her mind every other day :roll: will stick some picks up later

Diggin up a very old thread for an update ---some guy randomly emailed me yesterday saying:: ""Hey. I just wanted to say that I really dig your work. I've been a fan for a few years. I actually had one of your designs tattooed on my inner arm....""
the original drawing is posted earlierr in this thread...nice!

yeah, that´s what i was thinking....very flattering but was done without permission- but them who owns all those tattoo designs? like the japanese stuff, the Celtic stuff, the biker stuff etc etc? he´s asked me to draw up some more designs (paid) so i´m happy with that deal.

I have a polynesian turtle dagger on my upper arm. Supposed to bring the wearer protection whilst at sea from sharks. I got it after a change in my circumstances left me feeling a bit alone and vulnerable, and to be fair, I'm still here.
