ok my pals little 11 yr old niece has just been left paralysed from the neck down. this was due to having meningitis for the 2nd time.

to assist her in going home from hospital major changes need to be made to her home , so her equipment can be used in her home.
im not too clear on details but funds need to be raised.
so im cycling my fat knackered ass 30 miles with a group of "non =cyclers"

some of you will remember when i did a run of 23 miles for the autistic centre i worked at,.......and i thank you all again for your generosity.

im hoping to do the same kinda thing, but now im in no physical shape to do anything so gruelling.

please help.

I was trying to organise a ride from Galway to Dublin (approx 120 miles) to raise some money for the local school and also was going to ask you lot to chip in for Tim's charity. For a heap of reasons it's not happened but would still like to do something. My regular bike ride is 22 miles, I've done 40 a few times last summer, I could do 60 atm and feel like hell. So I reckon 2 days would be good.

Yeah, my knees scuppered. I smashed my right leg up pretty bad in a fight with a bus and a motorbike when I was 15. As a result my right leg is a few mm shorter than my left, and on top of years of footy, rugby, skateboarding, my knees ache after a while. Gutted as I used to love running. No can do any more so the bike's the way forward.

ok ive just spent the morning in the pissing rain/ snow cycling 27 miles,,,thru flooded roads,,,,grit in eyes,,,,,waterproofs gone missing,,,,,whilst sporting a rubbish achilles...a worse knee..... and after being hit in the thigh yesterday by my board a gurt big black bruised lu mp
