Have you come across the Zombie Survival and Defence Wiki? It is a genius mix of people that find it amusing to think / talk about these things and some total nutjobs that go to extreme lengths to protect themselves from what they see as the inevitable zombie uprising.

Anyway, you don't need a gun store, just a toy store and a petrol station!

Just finished reading "How to survive a Zombie attack" - surprisingly useful and made a pretty good read.

I've a bit of a fascination with apocalyptic events or atleast the potential of. Ita always in the back of my mind and continually find myself planing for such events... perhaps not directly but with the likes of building skills that would aid me in such situations, being self sufficient construction, maintenance and awareness of security...

I'd like to think it was a healthy obsession and I can't help but think that its an all too close reality. ok prob not zombies but certainly the likes of some kind of virus, collapse of foodchain when the bee's die etc etc. scary stuff .

i too have an unhealthy obsession with plans if there were to be a zombie apocalypse i know my nearest gun store is and what vehicle i would require but was wondering where everyone was thinking of holing up? i was thinkin supermarket would be good food cctv etc or somewhere like creally as you could set up a cool little camp and it only has a few ways in (less ways out is the negative) where else are people thinking?

thought about this but dwindling supplies of water and fuel would be a pain having to constantly dock find a mode of transport to get said supplies would be dangerous also i fuckin hate fish

depends on what type of zombies they are

28 day later style, id probably make sure i had a gun to top myself incase i got cornered

slow moving things, head out into the sticks, hole up, make a compound, try and become self sufficient, with an amoured bus to go and get supplies


probably get bored quickly, so would have to be near the coast for surf, fishing etc

I live 5 mins from work where there's 2 boats - biggest one carries about 16 ton fuel and 10 pot water.
Got vhf, gps, radar, galley and loads of dvd porn.
I'd head to the Farnes first. Eat seals for a bit. Maybe raid the co op at Seahouses for tabs.

I had thought about setting up barbed wire, AP mines and claymore mines with trip wires on the beaches at the shortest swimming points, and machine gun nests dug into the machair?

Are you sure zombies can anyway? Do they drown? Or would they just walk on the bottom Highlander style?

screw you lot, I would be off to Fair Isle, bloody remote that place is! plenty of hill sheep to live off too, fresh water spring on the island, load of puffins and you can grow some veg in the slightly more sheltered spots.

As long as the sheep don't go zombie you'd be golden
