Yeah, massive fans of theirs. Was a weird gig, just a lot of people stood motionless for an hour, applauding every song, then went mental for the last 15 minutes while they went all samba style.

Martin still plays a whistle a lot during the songs.

Plenty of cowbell too.

I went to my own gig / gigs.
Check 'em out at YouTube : Dave Simmons. Knock Yourself Out. Dave Simmons. Slave For The Blues. Dave Simmons. Ready To Roll. Dave Simmons. Jazz.
I gave up surfing not long ago. Too many pointy nose, forward foot, airs jumpin', 4WD driving' dudes out there. ...with a lot to say.
Thank god we've got surfers like Alex Knost and Ellis Ericsson.

Saw legends Marshall Jefferson and Todd Terry dj last night in Kings Cross. A proper old school rave up like back in the day with the dance floor going absolutely ballistic. I haven't seen a dance floor like that for a good while. Everyone drinking water, great tunes, great mix of people too - all ages. Feeling a bit delicate today mind.

Aye he is.
That means you went back up north as the surf went ballistic, hope it wasn't too bad whilst you were down this way?

yeah we were a bit gutted. Surfed onshore portreath (fun tho), then cross shore Gwithian saturday afternoon ( pretty damn good at low tide tho!), and then same again in the morning, albeit a bit too small. Didn't stay monday.

Bit annoyed haha. Really want to surf Gwithian at 4ft+..seems to be a playful wave at 2ft, but once it gets bigger it turns on and is so damn good

St.Patrick's day today .................... Stiff Little Fingers have been playing the Barrowlands in Glasgow for the last 25 years every St. Paddy's day. They're making a DVD of it

4 of us going tonight - will be mental as ever. My old mates from school The Almighty are the support band :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Saw The Almighty a couple of times,in the early 90's,last time supporting Metallica at Milton Keynes bowl, think they got the gig after Alice in Chains had to pull out after Layne Staley had to have another one of his trips to rehab

Was the best gig yet - that's me done , can't be topped so I'm out - ears are still fucked, when it's quiet all I can hear is the sound of a waterfall in my head - ribs are fucked again, my right foot is gubbed even though I had toe-tectors on .....

It was Ricky Warwick and the XXXXXXx not sure what they were called but they were pretty damn good - even did a wee Clash Tommy Gun just to get the lads revved up :-)

I miss a few being on the wrong end of the country. Annoys me when "UK Tour" means 8 gigs in England and token 1 midweek in Glasgow.

Saw Ash 1977 Album 20 year Anniversary tour earlier in the year. Played whole album, plus loads of others, just great.

Alice Cooper the other night with The Tubes and The Mission for support at Leeds Arena, kept missing this guy when he's been on tour, played quite a lot of his early stuff, and was joined by his original band for the last third of the gig, made me smile to think that guy has been playing a lot longer than i have been alive, and he is still knocking it out, also first time i have seen The Mission, think i need to see them at their own gig as their set was quite short
