Winter Wetsuit 2010/2011

Postby sweetclive » Mon Nov 15, 2010 12:43 am

Hi Guys, I'm Joe, 23 surfing south Wales. I'm just starting off, but looking to continue surfing through the winter, was wondering if you guys could give some advice on some decent wetsuits for the season, and which ones to stay away from etc. I'd prefer flexibility over warmth any day and would be looking not to spend more than £150. Any advice would be much apprreciated. Cheers

Hi Joe, I've just started surfing up north and wanted my own winter wetsuit, so asked the instructors and guys that worked in the surf shop and they all recommended Xcel suits. A lot of them had Xcel suits themselves so I took their advice-got a winter 5/4mm suit and i love it! Its warm but really flexible, not too heavy either. Think I paid £170, but it was worth it. Have heard a lot good things about Xcel and I think they have quite a large range depending on your budget.
Hope that helps!

Take a look at the Oneill Gooru, bang on your budget and a decent suit for the price.
