had rubbish surf (still better then good day at work)

Rubbish yesterday, 4ft messy, unpredictable, lumpy and a paddle out from hell. Barely caught a thing, when i did i was all over the place.

wasn't exactly a rubbish surf just left unstoked, was out drinking the night before, went surfing with a hangover because I'm heading back home for the easter holidays so thought I needed a months worth of wave time, was all going well, caught a few gooduns then started feeling sick up until the point that I thought If I don't get out I would have thrown up. Not stoked to leave after 40mins, when I was having uncrowded fun, at least I think I caught my biggest wave today.

some bigger than expected chunky waves coming through today...and the sun was out. But, I made the mistake of thinking I was ready to get out surfing again after having a hellish chest cold and throat infection. Gave up after 20 mins....could hardly get breath...god I feel old and crap. Fitness regime back as of end of week...like every year

fookin ell was at the anti natal session till 4. got a text from someone who i know who tends to over exaggerate saying it was pumping. so rushed over to the coast. shite. checked loads of places all shite. went back to the first place i checked and two mates were saying there was some good banks about a mile south. went down there and another mate saying you have missed it...its got too high.

as i watched a couple came thru so in desperation paddled out.

utter shite paddled back in after literally 5 mins

waste of 3 hours and a tenner of petrol- fuckin sick

Went up the coast today....Overhead and clean breaking onto a dry reef.....I dont do reefs....rocks are harder than sand! Also things didnt go very good on my finless! Near death experience trying to get back in......pretty views though so not all was lost.

Wasn't somewhere with a pretty lookout view of an island was it? I think I was getting out as you got in. Was allright decent size n clean though bit random. Wouldn't have fancied it on a finless. My mate fucked his board on the rocks poor lad. Went back to Tynemouth and got back in. Best surf for weeks - although that doesn't say much.

yeah, It was starting to close out alot when I got in, was a nightmare getting back in,had to let the rip take me 1/2 down the beach to get clear of the reefs. It was a lovely looking wave...I'm just too much of a pussy

Think i was at that spot as well. Got some nice ones, quite short rides but lovely drops. Current seemed to get stronger as the tide pushed in. Went for a second session at somewhere with a lovely view of a castle a bit further south for the second session. That was very nice too.

Beautiful day too, in between the downpours.

I went to that very same spot for my second session....wish I'd taken a finned board with me. Got a few drops but was just sliding out like crazy. Made me appreciate Mr Hynds skill (even more so) surfing Jbay finless!

Fistral today, had a job interview at Truro so popped in for a quick cheeky surf while I was in the area...
Packed and shit. Better than being at work though! Fingers crossed I will be moving soon.

Boscombe yesterday. Eyeball report claimed 3ft offshore when I got there an hour later it was knee high and crowded. Looked weak and barely surfable, wasn't going to get in but I needed a pee and a free parking space presented itself. Caught a few dribbly mushburgers in amongst frothing groms who were acting like it was macking Pipe, had a pee in the sea, went home. Takes twice aslong to get anywhere in the summer aswell - I swear the population doubles over the summer holidays.

Got out about half an hour before first light....offshore winds with some nice little peaks...went crap at about 7am when wind went onshore

I organised everything for a dwanie yesterday. Packed van beforehand, got up early, organised nursery drop off, headed to beach to find...... about 1ft dribbly shit. Fucking wasted credits.
