Complete shuffle of the pack here... The Hunt has gone, Never found the pintail I was dreaming for, but did get something incredibly interesting, so a bit of a gamble, time will tell if it's a keeper. I still feel the need for a pintail log, but can live without noseriding, and so I give you...



The finish on this is incredible, I mean, this kind of effort???

Missed great surf yesterday due to a bad call. So yet to get them wet. Be interesting to see how this goes. Clearly not in the noserider category, it's a version of a 1950's Hobie Malibu Chip... Looks a lot of fun anyway!

yeah mate, still got it, that´s a keeper. havent used it much since winter-early spring but should be nice at the mellower breaks with the autumn swells coming. i´ve been leaving out the side bites most of the time to try and smooooth myself out a bit, probably still looks like off-balanace, arm-waving hip twitching from the shore but it feels good! ps- how did the new B&W work out then?
pps- i hope the money went to good use, got mine coming up at end of Oct....

There it is!

Made a few tweaks to the new one and it was fun to ride, but it didn't have the same magic....

If you can get hold of one of Cheyne Horan's Starfins, give it a go - it really suited that board

PS - that little Hiace in the background is neat

Picked up my new 7'2" from DiplockPhoenix yesterday and got her in the water for about twenty minutes. Conditions were terrible; I was worse; but always good to get a new board out straight away. Superfast and paddles beautifully. Catches the wave super early. Going to love this one I feel [like every other board I've had from Bro and Paul.]

Love those little side skegs, where can u get those? Would they work ok if there are two fcs plugs?

This little stubby slidey thing was talking to me in the second hand racks at Board Barn every time I went in, gave in and got a bargain in the end....





5'2 x 23 x 3

Although the dimensions sound like its hugely wide and thick (and it is a big board) it's quite refined in the rails and tail so it's quite skatey and not boat like in the slightest. Quite a pronounced belly in the nose to flat then to a slight single through the fins. It pretty much paddles like a chopped down longboard, only had it out in thigh high junky Saunton so far but had an absolute blast on waves I normally wouldn't have bothered with. Caught every wave I went for and it was so smooth over bumpy wind hit sections, waves didn't really allow for much rail action but looking forward to taking it for another spin tomorrow. Should have bought a mini simmons ages ago - this thing will be amazing in summer I reckon

Seriously Wigsy just get one, you'll love it. Will definitely open up more surf days for you and you'll find it heaps of fun. Think Dale at Ectic Concepts does them brand spankers for about 350 which is a great price, he's got a few other interesting shapes too

Just scored this thing for $130, about 80 quid. Just a few pressure dings on the deck, the sort of thing I would do in 5-6 surfs.. 6'1 x 18 1/2 x 2 3/16, deep single to double concave, this thing has such nice hard rails, looks like a super fun board. I can't wait to get it in water. I've never had a quad before, stoked to try something that isn't a thruster (I now have 3 6'1s!) Not much volume, I'm thinking this is going to go like shit off a shovel in punchy waves..

Bitch to tame. Rolled throughout with vee in tail. Paddles like a shortboard, tools while to get used to it. Definitely need to angle take offs but super smooth in trim. I will be honest and admit part of me wanted to not get on with this board, so I could sell and find the pintail I was after. However I loved it. Challenging, which in fairness is something I've always shyed away from in boards, but so much fun. And a great feeling in trim. Hull like I guess, slides very well. Pivots well but also able to turn from mid board if you nurse it a bit.

Yeah I can't wait to ride it. Pics make it look shorter and fatter than it is, it feels even thinner than 2 3/16, theres not much foam in there.
