Be really good for fishing off rocks actually - snug enough for easy scrambling on cliffs and boulders, and fine for wading through rock pools etc. Might wait until they are on sale though!

Something like these or these may be better (or any river shoes for that matter) as they are specifically designed for keeping your feet warm while scrambling around over wet rocks / river banks so will almost certainly have a better sole for the job.

These would be better still but they cost a bloody fortune.
